there’s nothing wrong with kids that trying to reason with them won’t make worse

Founded

One little pink camera.  It was in the laptop bag, right where I put it after uploading the ice fishing pictures.  So very, very logical of me--no wonder I couldn't find it!

Missing:

1. Energy
The last few weeks I have been feeling exhausted. Worse than when I was pregnant (I'm not, thanks for asking) and even Ben is starting to get worried. He came home for lunch yesterday to find his wife asleep and drooling on the couch while his two little ones were pulling all the books out of the bookcase. Linnea thinks I have mono, Ben thinks I'm anemic, I think we need a nanny, maid and cook

2. Cute little pink camera
We bought an Exilim before our Yellowstone trip to have a camera which fits into a pocket (it usually lives in my diaper bag), and while it doesn't take great pictures, it is better to have not-great pictures than no pictures because I didn't feel like hauling my gigantor SLR camera with its kit around. I have no idea where I put it, and because of it's cute little size the chances of finding it aren't great

3. keys
This is nothing new, I loose these all the time, but I've been through my purse, diaper bag and my coat and still can't find them. Good thing we have spares in my home organization binder!

4. hair
I regularly make the mistake of cutting my hair when I get tired of it. This week I have bangs as a result of hating my hair. I hate doing bangs, even if they hide my huge forehead nicely.

5. sanity
Ben keeps mentioning jobs available in places like--Alaska!! or Germany!! (actually, I'd probably like Germany.) It just stresses me out to have to hear about it. Let me know when we have orders and I'll deal with it then!!!

Also, we painted the girls room and it looks really nice. I don't think I can let them live in there. So, missing: place for the little girls to sleep ;-)

DAMAGE!

Yell it loudly, it's quite satisfying!

$80 to get our garage door fixed, $150 to fix the van. The average cost of my stupidheaded things is well over $300, so this isn't too bad. Sigh.

Luck and the lack thereof

It's been an interesting morning around these parts. First, we were running late and Deanna was late for orchestra. When I went to back the van out of the garage we heard one of those grinding/breaking noises you never want to hear. For some reason the garage door hadn't quite opened all the way, and the top of the van hit it. Crunched the brake light on the top of the van, the garage door is completely bent out of shape and the wood trim around the door was pulled off. It took me 10 minutes of tugging, re-arranging and some colorful vocabulary before I could even get the van out of the garage at all.

Then, Ben couldn't get the dates we wanted for the reunion this summer because reservations opened up yesterday, but we chose to go to church instead.

Then, I couldn't get the laptop to get into my account since only half the keyboard worked on the password screen. The kids account didn't do me any good, since they're not allowed online.

All this happening in the space of one hour can only mean one thing: It's our turn to host Gumper. Let's hope he doesn't enjoy the cold and leaves SOON.

Oh, and then there was this:

You don't think such a little angel would play with mommy's lipstick, do you?
