We went for a little trip

First, we drove to Modesto, CA, where we stayed a few days at the Slades.

The kids received their Patriarchal blessings from their
Great-Grandpa Broadbent

We played in Grandma's pool

I guess maybe it's Grandpa's pool, too?

After our stop in California we drove up to Oregon for the Cook family reunion.  

Went to the Newport Aquarium

with fabulous relatives

Where we discovered the ever-elusive Oregon Sunshine

Toured Tillamook with crazy cousins

Played on the beach

And enjoyed being around all these fabulous people

some of the scenery in New Mexico is pretty!  Who knew?

13 days, 3500 (or so) miles from Albuquerque, New Mexico, all the way to Pacific City, Oregon and back again.

Now begins our next marathon journey in not losing our patience while the house closing drags on and on and on.
